Anita Williams is a Senior Professional Accountant with the Florida Department of Correction, Office of Inspector General with two years of experience in Auditing and Accounting. She is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). She formerly worked and interned for the Florida Department of Revenue as a Revenue Agent and an Investigator Intern under the (OIG) shadowing the Senior Investigator. Prior to working with FDOR (Revenue), she worked as an OPS Accountant for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement while continuing her education. She earned her Bachelors in Accounting from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in 2014, and two years later earned her Master’s in Criminal Justice from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in 2016. Anita is currently studying and sitting for the Certified Internal Audit exam. During her career, she has joined membership with the Institute of Internal Auditors, Association of Inspector General and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners where local in Tallahassee she has served as the Vice President and Director of Training from (2017-2018) and currently (2018-2019). She has been with the Tallahassee Chapter #16 of the ACFE since 2014.
